Barking is as normal to dogs as talking is to humans. Trying to eliminate dog barking altogether would be like trying to stop someone to talk forever! Besides it being impossible, it’s just plain wrong. But we have to admit, excessive barking (much like excessive talking) is a major nuisance-not just to you but to your family, your hot neighbor, the children at play, the mailman, and every one else who can hear it.

We all have that special someone in our life. That little ball of energy overly excited to see us home from the grocery store. The excited bliss and pawing at the glass upon seeing us approach the door. The second we walk in the door the tail wags so much it takes over the rear half, rendering it unable to move in any position contrary to the tail. For many, that special someone is a regular part of the family, regardless of his or her four legged nature.

The big advantage of adopting a Rottweiler from a Rottweiler rescue rather than an all-breed animal shelter is that you are matched with a dog that’s right for your personality and lifestyle. Rottweiler rescues have the time and luxury to get to know and, whenever needed, retrain their dogs before allowing them to be put up for adoption. All breed and all-pet animal shelters do not have time, space or resources to take time to get to know any of their animals.

For your Chihuahua puppy’s safety, you need to not only puppy-proof your home and have a regular and emergency vet’s number by the phone, but you need to make sure your Chihuahua puppy’s name is sensible. Your pup will get into a lot of mischief ? some of it potentially lethal. Your Chihuahua puppy will need to learn to pay attention to you and look to you for guidance. Dogs and trainers involved in dog agility training need to have a very close working relationship. People who handle dogs in dog agility training competitively are among the most experienced and skilled people you’ll find in both dog training and behavior. Dog agility training is a sport; the trainer and dog must work together to get through an obstacle course within a time limit. There are no leashes allowed - the trainer must instruct the dog through their voice and hand signals.

The history of the Golden Retriever dog breed is brief. A Scottish Lord living on the Tweed River developed the breed in 19th century Scotland. Lord Tweedmouth wished to breed a yellow water spaniel. He mated the Tweed Water Spaniel, Irish Setter and several other dog breeds to create a breed similar to the Golden Retriever of today.

Poodle breeders love their Poodles. Though the intricately clipped and coiffed appearance of the Poodle may bring ridicule from other breeders, most Poodle breeders support this interesting and unique-looking breed. Poodles are thought to have originated in Eastern Europe or France.
